AUGUST 2023 CHURCH AND CHILDREN’S REPORTS

Categories: Monthly Report

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Our monthly Church’s reports we deliver our best content and you can share with friends!

Our mandate is to fulfill the Great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 24:46-49, Mark 16:15-18, Matt 28:18-20) through our 5C’s vision and mission.

Hillvalley Life Church birthed out in an obscure place in my own rented home in Chirimba, Blantyre-Malawi with 6 children I brought in for care. We had our first Sunday church service on the 18th of October 2015. These children I started with, have grown now and are in various departments in the church serving with me.

In 2016 due to the limited space of our lounge we then moved to a school block at Chirimba- Government’s primary school. There we continued to excel and reaching our communities. We highly desired to secure our own land to build the church and which we never grew tired reminding God. We never disregarded His Grace could do to grant our church’s desires to have the property.

September 2021 I spotted this amazing property situated in our area with a dilapidated building on. Such a potential property and easily accessible to the community etc. I had peace in my heart and knew that God wanted us to have it. I shared the news with the Church’s congregation to what God was about to do. The church got excited about the news. And we embarked on a FAITH JOURNEY towards owning it.

That was indeed a radical faith! We didn’t have money in reserve in order to buy the property. But what we had was faith in God. That time was at the peak of Covid19 pandemic where the world’s economy had crumbled down. Amidst all that we still trusted God anyway for the impossible! Yes, everything screamed at us to say it’s impossible! But we persisted in our faith in God and never lost hope!

Thank God friends and families immensely supported us through their prayers and warm encouragements etc. And the money we needed to foot up the contract was insurmountable where we just needed God’s special interventions. We patiently waited upon the Lord for the provisions. And suddenly we got our breakthrough the finances began to rain. In October 10, 2021 we paid off the deposit. In April 2022 we completed the purchase. Glory be to God!

THE CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT:

The journey continues we need some finances to renovate the church’s building. We are trusting God for R500 000!

We want to see God’s magnificence-glory when it’s completed. In 1 Chronicle 22:5 AMP #David said, “Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the Lord shall be exceedingly magnificent, famous, and an object of glory and splendor throughout all lands [of the earth]. So now I will make preparations for it.”…

The ministry is expanding. In October from 6-8th we have church’s general conference! This month we had 2 weeks leaders and pastors training. And we are busy establishing some more church connect groups around the community for easy ministry of our congregation.

SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT TO OUR CHURCH:

We want to establish small businesses in our church. Breeding some pigs and give to most struggling members to start their own business. The example of what we want to do below!

JOSHUA FOUNDATION FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN’S EDUCATION AID

This is an initiative to reach for the vulnerable children. We create some opportunities to get them education, provide some basic needs e.g. food, accommodation, clothing etc.! We cover primary and early childhood development.

THE AFTERMATHS OF CYCLONE FREDDY DISASTERS.

Malawi post-Cyclones survivors today are still struggling. With some damage of the crops fields, the food prices are soaring every single day at the market and life is becoming tougher.

I’m busy rebuilding my children’s house which got damaged by the Cyclones. This is the 6th month now hopping I would be done rebuilding but no clear progress due to lack of finances.

  1. My household- The children under my care and with their future goals!

They are almost similar ages between 2 and 19. They do nursery and primary at our school at “Joshua Foundation” which they need no fees. The challenge will be when they all reach secondary school the fees will be a huge challenge. Currently, I have got 2 girls Ellen and Ethness are in secondary school.

The Guardians: my mom and sister work tirelessly serving these children!

Joshua Foundation on Rural Sustainable Farming Developments Initiatives:

I have got close to 10 hectares of land in the rural areas. I would like to establish a farm. We had a volunteer from South Africa who came to map out the land. We will launch the project next year as funds available. The activities taking place in this farm will have the potential to transform Children’s lives, church and communities.

The past month we have been very busy had some activities with our South African Brother. He also taught us how to make organic manure and initiated eco bricks to get rid of the waste plastics.

We again educated the community some farming skills and the proper use of the soil
